Nike+ Festival of Sport 2012 in Shanghai, marketing executives at Jordan Brand had an offbeat, head turning ploy – an actual Ferrari. Parked at the front of House of Flight exhibition hall, the Ferrari 430 Scuderia had its own team of racing hotties, all in what else but Air Jordan of various vintage. The car’s front loading trunk also include a half dozen or so of Jordan memorabilia. But the car, with its various Jordan Brand marked details, along with the girls, weren’t there just as displays. Rather, it was to showcase the origin of Air Jordan XIV and how Tinker Hatfield took Michael Jordan’s then new Ferrari 550 Maranello as his design inspiration.
