Denzel Washington dines at New York's Beauty & Essex

Denzel Washington dined at Beauty & Essex Sunday March 16^th. 

The Academy Award Winning Actor enjoyed a night to himself, dressed down in a black track suit and black baseball cap. He enjoyed two Platinum Peacocks from Beauty & Essex's Virgin Cocktail Menu – a mix of cucumber, granny smith apple, pineapple, and mint.

When asked by his waiter if he had any food allergies, the actor joked, "Just pork and bad food". Luckily he had neither of those and chose Beauty & Essex favorites such as the Tuna Poke Tacos, Kale and Apple Salad, Hudson Valley Foie Gras and Broccolini.

Washington initially declined dessert but was coerced into it by his waiter who suggested the delicious Black Bottomed Butterscotch Pot de Crème. After digging in, he joked, "This is sinful and its gonna take 1,000 situps to burn this off! I'm gonna have to walk home!"

However, Washington wasn't the only attraction last night at Beauty & Essex – a couple got engaged while he was there, which prompted the entire restaurant to clap and cheer. Denzel inquired to his waiter about what was going on. When he found out he smiled and said, "Well That's Good!"
