MENS DESIGNER HD HOMME DEBUTS FW2014 COLLECTION DURING WORLD MASTERCARD FASHION WEEK IN TORONTO

Toronto native Hussein Dhalla previews his luxury menswear collection HD Homme at World MasterCard Fashion Week on Tuesday, March 18 at 4:00 p.m.

HD Homme is an exclusive Toronto-based menswear luxury label created by designer Hussein Dhalla.  Specializing in ready-to-wear and custom evening wear for men, HD Homme designs are made from imported luxury fabric and sewn with extreme precision.  The label serves to reintroduce the essence and etiquette of the classic gentleman.

While HD Homme is showing solo for the first time at WMCFW, this up and coming designer has already received a series of accolades for his luxury designs.  In 2013, Hussein Dhalla was chosen from numerous designers to compete in the Mercedes-Benz Start Up (MBSU) semi-finals.  The label's new looks were unveiled during the MBSU finale, and were viewed by Canada's leading Fashion industry professionals.

"While early years in a designers career are fraught with great challenge, this seamless execution of menswear, specifically evening wear, show the truly inspirational aspect of what this business is meant to be," says Robin Kay, President, Fashion Design Council of Canada and Founder of Toronto Fashion Week.  "The line highlights Canadian dinner jackets cut with precision that are and can be worn to gala events around the world.  I am pleased to sit front row at Hussein's solo show this fashion week!"

Hussein Dhalla aka HD, is a self-taught designer, who is rapidly becoming distinguished in the fashion industry for his high-quality luxury menswear. His creative and conscientious eye for fashion became prominent during his years styling VIPs, celebrities and corporate professionals for such events as: business conferences, press junkets, performances, red carpets and music videos. With an elevated demand for HD to customize suits, tuxedos, and dress shirts for his exclusive clientele, he created a primarily evening wear centric label, HD Homme.

"My FW2014 collection is inspired by my desire to incorporate variety into men's fashion", comments Hussein Dhalla, Designer, HD Homme.  "This is my first solo show and having the platform of WMCFW is a wonderful opportunity, especially since it is the second largest fashion week in North America.  My dream is to build my brand internationally and place Toronto on the map for luxury menswear.  I feel blessed to be able to show solo for the first time on such a huge platform as well as in my home town."

HD Homme also has a wide range of experience styling celebrities for such events like the Oscars, Golden Globes, Grammys, MuchMusic Video Awards, Latin Grammy's, Latin Billboards, Premios Lo Nuestro and Premios Juventud. The designer's notable clientele has consisted of such big names as, Canadian recording artist, Karl Wolf, former MuchMusic VJ and current E! host, Jesse Giddings; as well as Pitbull protégé artists' Sensato and Fito Blanko. He was also approached by Jessy Terrero director of JLo and Pitbull's music video Live It Up, to style his latest video for artist Zion and Lennox and flew Hussein out to the Dominican Republic.

Most recently, the growth of his designer label, alongside his career as a celebrity stylist and image consultant has lead to the production of HD Style: a Toronto-based menswear style blog (www.HDStyle.ca). HD Style is fashioned as a guide for gentlemen that seek the necessary tips and advice to better their wardrobes and lives.

Ultimately, HD is structuring HD Homme as a representation of Toronto. He wants to promote Toronto fashion and menswear on a global scale, while generating recognition for the city's lifestyle in the process.

About HD Homme
