Until The Ribbon Breaks - A Lesson Unlearnt
January 20, 2015 - Kobalt Music
Media day Jan 20/21 in Toronto
"a band breaking molds with their avant-garde, genre-melting productions." - Earmilk
Until
The Ribbon Breaks (UTRB) writes mesmeric, dark apocalyptic pop, meets
infectious "Avant RnB" in a way that is both haunting and beautiful in
its raw confrontation of human emotion. Each track tells a tale of love,
loss, lust, infatuation, regret or fear all enveloped in cinematic
imagery.

Wavelength Music Festival: 15th Anniversary Edition (#WL15)
February 13-15, 2015
One of Toronto's only winter
music festivals, #WL15 is three nights of concerts over the February
long weekend (February 13-15, 2015). This year, with a programming arc
of past, present and future, Wavelength is expanding beyond its
single-venue format for the first time.
Steve Earle -
Terraplane
February 17, 2015 - New West Records
Media day Feb 10 in Toronto
Earle's
16th studio album since the release of his highly influential 1986
debut Guitar Town. As its title suggests, the album is very much a blues
record, a third of which was written while Earle toured Europe alone
for five weeks with just a guitar, a mandolin and a backpack.

Dripping
with fun, The Elwins' notoriously high-energy sets are full of
smile-inducing sing-alongs and plenty of crowd participation.

Will Butler - Policy
March 10, 2015 - Merge Records
Will Butler has been a member of the band Arcade Fire for over 10 years. This is his first release under his own name. The
song structures are traditional; the arrangements are clean. The music
is experimental only in that it attacks consistency as a requirement for
sincerity. The songs are angry, loving, joking, tired, honest, idiotic.
They clash against each other but also fit and work together-as if a
blind watchmaker made a Frankenstein watch that came alive and told
extremely accurate time while having conflicting feelings about its
creator.
