J. COLE, TINASHE, BUSTA RHYMES AND MORE LET LOOSE AT SUNDRAI’S AT DRAI’S NIGHTCLUB IN LAS VEGAS
FOR J. COLE’S BIRTHDAY CELEBRATION
(Drai’s Nightclub at The Cromwell hosted its weekly SunDrai’s event by throwing J. Cole a massive birthday celebration featuring performances from both him and Tinashe, plus surprise appearances from some of hip-hop’s biggest names including Busta Rhymes, Coolio, and Jermaine Dupri, not to mention a cameo from legendary bodybuilder Jay Cutler, DJ Eric Dlux and more.
The evening’s highlights were undoubtedly the performances from J. Cole and Tinashe.  The two stars cranked the energy up in the club so high that Drai’s Nightclub felt like it was floating well above the already impressive 11-story view it occupies on the rooftop of The Cromwell overlooking the famed Las Vegas Strip.

Tinashe took to the stage first at 1 a.m. and performed a batch of songs from her recent debut studio album Aquarius, including chart toppers “2 On” and “Pretend.”  The R&B diva looked effortlessly stylish in her leather pants and sneakers topped with a revealing white tank and shimmering gold necklace.

Following Tinashe, J. Cole hit the stage close to 2 a.m.  The widely acclaimed rapper, who just released his latest album 2014 Forest Hills Drive, gave fans a taste of what his upcoming tour will be like by premiering some of his new material live while mashing up his set with some of the hits that put him on the map.  Donning an all-black-everything jumpsuit, the rapper maneuvered around the newly expanded stage at Drai’s with a vibrancy and ease that exceeded even his own reputation as a world-class stage act.
After his performance, Busta Rhymes (who performed at Drai’s on Jan. 31) took over the DJ booth, calling for an immediate halt of club operations and turning all attention to J. Cole who just turned 30 and was being delivered a cake by the Drai’s dancers.  Busta paid a comical yet poignant tribute to J. Cole, calling him an icon the hip-hop community needed.  The music kicked back in and the club’s excitement swelled even more; meanwhile, J. Cole and Tinashe were floating around the VIP area talking to Coolio, Jermaine Dupri, bodybuilder Jay Cutler and other friends who had shown up.

Both J. Cole and Tinashe stuck around into the early morning hours, conversing and drinking champagne with one of the best views in all of Las Vegas.  As they were leaving, they gave the club a parting sentiment before heading up to their suites at The Cromwell.
