The Standstills win at Radio Music Awards
Entertainment One (“eOne”) is proud to celebrate its third straight year as Distributor Of The Year at Canadian Music Week. The awards were handed out during the Canadian Music & Broadcast Industry Awards gala at the Sheraton Centre Hotel in Toronto.
eOne has received the prestigious honour 15 of the last 18 years. The recognition further fortifies eOne’s position as the #1 independent music brand in North America. With over 250 Gold and Platinum Awards to their credit, eOne is consistently at the top of the market share of all independent labels and distributors in marketing and sales results.
“Winning this award was the culmination of 365 days of work, and represents the dedication of a team striving to give our partners – retail and the fans - the best music, with no compromises on quality and a complete support of our artists,” says Greg Pappas, General Manager, eOne Music Canada.
As part of Canadian Music Week, eOne also shared that it has signed Port Coquitlam’s Chersea, based on her 10-minute Mention Café session.
Additionally, eOne artists The Standstills received the Best New Group or Solo Artist: Mainstream Rock Award at the 19th annual Canadian Radio Music Awards on Friday, May 6th at the Sheraton Centre Toronto Hotel. Their achievement was based on their top airplay in the format based on radio “spins,” as recorded by Nielsen Broadcast Data Systems (BDS) in 2015. Votes cast by program directors, music directors, and on-air personalities determined the group’s win.
