North By Northeast (NXNE) announces programming for NXNE Game Land at Yonge-Dundas Square taking place Thursday, June 16 - 18, 2016 including a surprise appearance by Anna Camp and Skylar Astin, co-stars of Perfect Pitch, presented by Courtyard Marriott, the official hotel sponsor of NXNE.

On Thursday, June 16 Anna Camp and Skylar Astin will judge a singing competition with local vocalists and A Cappella groups, prior to a free screening of the 2012 film Pitch Perfect at Yonge-Dundas Square. Anna Camp and Skylar Astin will help determine the winner who will receive a $1000 Courtyard Marriott gift card. 

On Friday, June 17, sports fans will get the opportunity to “go long” with Buffalo Bills wide receiver, Sammy Watkins at the Courtyard @ Barcade. Fans will have the chance to meet the first round draft pick during his visit to NXNE Game Land at Yonge-Dundas Square.

NXNE Game Land will also present the LOUD on Planet X High Score Challenge, an arcade-style indie music game for PlayStation®4, iOS and Android featuring Tegan and Sara, CHVRCHES, Lights, Metric, METZ, F*cked Up, Purity Ring, Austra, Shad, Cadence Weapon, and more! Fans of all ages can play for a chance to win great prizes including Limited Edition 7” Vinyl with original scores by Jonah Falco and Mike Haliechuk of F*cked UP, Brendan Canning and Justin Peroff of Broken Social Scene and signed prints from Tegan and Sara, July Talk, Lights, and Metric.

Music performances at NXNE Game Land at Yonge-Dundas Square include: Fast Romantics, The Lionyls and Sydney Delong on June 16; Jane's Party, Ferraro, Long Range Hustle and Frisky Kids on June 17; and Zeus, Sam Cash & The Romantic Dogs, Le Groupe Swing, Taylor Knox and No King For Countryman on June 18, presented by SOCAN.

Festival attendees heading to the NXNE Port Lands on Friday, June 17 and Saturday, June 18 can board the NXNE shuttle boat, sponsored by Got Bud, for a free ride to and from the show. The shuttle boat is available to passengers 19+, and will run 12-11pm on June 17 from West Pier (in front of Harbourfront Concert Stage), and on June 18 from Toronto Harbour Tours (in front of Beaver Tails). The shuttle boats will bring fans to a dock within walking distance to the NXNE Port Lands.

The NXNE Club Land performance by Prozzak on Saturday, June 18 has been moved to The Danforth Music Hall from the Phoenix Concert Theatre. All previously purchased tickets will be honoured.
