VFILES ANNOUNCES VFILES RUNWAY 8 | FEBRUARY 10TH AT 8PM
VFILES RUNWAY 8: WILL FEATURE DESIGNERS FROM CHINA, AUSTRALIA AND THE NETHERLANDS.
BEHIND THE SCENES AND EXCLUSIVE LIVE PRE-SHOW PERFORMANCES WILL BE BROADCAST LIVE AND FEATURE A SHORT LIST OF MUSIC’S MOST EXCITING YOUNG ARTISTS.

VFILES is what happens when you pass the baton to the next generation of creators. It’s the embodiment of our philosophy: that by connecting creative youth on a platform that knows no barrier to entry, they can discover one another, collaborate, and determine the future.
The full show itself will be livestreamed to the VFILES app and vfiles.com as well as featured on Times Square billboards starting at Midnight. Runway 8 will be presented with the support of Converse.
This season, VFILES Runway 8 will feature Strateas Carlucci, Snow Xue Gao and Danielle Cathari as the stars of their always unpredictable and highly anticipated runway show.

● Strateas Carlucci (Melbourne) – Peter Strateas & Mario-Luca Carlucci established their progressive, provocative brand in 2013. Each of their collections has been informed by diverse themes to produce minimalistic clothing while telling a non-minimalistic story.
● Snow Xue Gao (NYC) – Gao makes couture garments out of her studio in New York and recently presented her SS17 collection at the 2016 Parsons MFA show garnering wide praise and the interest of Rihanna.
● Daniëlle Cathari (Amsterdam) – in her third year at the Amsterdam Fashion Institute, Cathari will be showing her very first collection on VFILES Runway which she says was born of finding balance between the emotional and the rational as manifested by her blending of tailored suits and sportswear.

The designers were selected from thousands of entries submitted to the VFILES platform by the VFILES team in collaboration with their stabled line up of mentors.

These mentors will work closely with the VFILES team to consult with the designers (as well as the models, the hair and makeup team, photographers, and stylists) for the show scheduled for February 10, 2017 at 8.00 p.m. All talent on the runway and backstage will be from VFILES.com.

Since the first VFILES Runway show, hundreds of young creatives have seen themselves connected and celebrated by the most visible media and fashion houses in the world and have become fashion designers and influencers in their own rights.
Winners from previous seasons of VFILES Runway have gone on to receive the industry’s highest accolades (LVMH and CFDA awards), picked up by global retailers (Selfridges, Colette, Urban Outfitters), and seen on the world’s most recognized influencers from Future and Justin Bieber to Rihanna and Beyoncé.
NEW: The livestream pre-show performances will feature a short list of music’s most exciting young artists as part of the newly introduced VFILES LOUD music vertical.
