Dragons’ Den’s W. Brett Wilson to Judge Cannabis Startup Pitch Competition 

Winner to Receive over $20,000 in Value and Investment from Judges

Lift, Canada’s largest cannabis media and technology company, is offering  over $20,000 in prizes and services to the winning business of the Toronto Lift Cannabis Expo’s Lift Pitch competition, plus a soon-to-be-announced financial investment from the judges. The Lift Pitch competition will take place during the Lift Cannabis Expo’s Industry Day on May 26 and will feature for the first time Dragons’ Den’s W. Brett Wilson as a judge. Joining him will be Tweed founder Chuck Rifici, lawyer Hugo Alves, a legal pioneer in Canada’s medical cannabis space, and Aaron Salz, the first financial analyst in Canada to cover the industry. One of three competitors will be selected to win:

• $10,000 in advertising from Lift
• A 10’x10’ booth at the 2018 Lift Cannabis Expo
• $5,000 in legal services from Bennett Jones
• Free onboarding consultation from Stoic Advisory
• Financial investments from the judges

Businesses must be operating in the cannabis or related industries and apply by May 7, 2017 at http://liftexpo.ca/lift-pitch/. Each company will be given 10 minutes to present and five minutes to answer questions from the judges.

The Lift Pitch is part of the Toronto Lift Cannabis Expo, Canada’s largest cannabis trade show, taking place May 26-28 at the Metro Toronto Convention Centre. Only individuals with tickets to the Industry Day on May 26 will have the opportunity to watch the Lift Pitch competition live and witness W.
