True Religion Announces VOID TACTICS

Launches in collaboration with GRM Daily available at MATCHESFASHION.COM

True Religion announces the launch of "VOID TACTICS," since January 24, a limited-edition capsule collection exclusively available on MATCHESFASHION.COM for a limited time. The Berlin-based think tank Nemesis, founded by K-HOLE's Emily Segal and Amnesia Scanner's Martti Kalliala, and photographer Rory Van Milligen were tapped for the collection's campaign to depict 'the void' - a homage to anonymous youth. In celebration of the collection, GRM Daily is hosting a live show of musical talent that embraces both True Religion and GRM Daily's dynamic fanbase.

The 15-piece collection includes an assortment of T-shirts, acid washed denim, hoodies and sweatpants in treated jersey, with contrast stitching details and custom graphics, in a monochromatic palette that reflects a throwback to the original ethos and relentless energy of the True Religion brand - refined (and distorted) for a new audience. A key graphic defaces True Religion's iconic Buddha print with a spliced-out strip that accommodates the 'roadman' bag strap. The capsule pays tribute to a new generation of youth that has already incorporated the True Religion brand into an emergent global aesthetic.

The Nemesis campaign shoot took place in an unnamed London shopping district and focuses on the concept of HYPERSTITION and maps the architecture of global hype - how a phenomenon emerges, the uniform anonymity of the capsule, and the underlying logic that ignited it. As source material, Nemesis drew on the Cybernetic Culture Research Unit's texts from the 1990s, as well as Rem Koolhaas's Strategies of the Void.

All production of the collection took place among local Los Angeles vendors, reverting back to the brand's roots with prices ranging from £100 - £350. VOID TACTICS will launch on True Religion's website following exclusive drop at Matches.
