Debut Track "Nobody Like You" From Dark Bedroom Pop Artist .@vaineswastaken

VAINES SHARES NEW TRACK "NOBODY LIKE YOU" 

PREMIERING ON THE 405

Los Angeles based alternative artist Vaines shares his debut track "Nobody Like You" exclusively premiering on The 405. The 405 wrote of the track, "Building off a foundation of alternative R&B, which will make comparisons to The Weeknd inevitable, 'Nobody Like You' is bristling with raw energy. Gaines' breathy vocal performance conveys his desperation, while the instrumentals pulse with power. It is an exciting and promising debut from this burgeoning artist."

Jared Gaines (under the moniker Vaines) grew up splitting time between his mom in the small town of Ogdensburg, NY, and his in Toledo, OH, with his aunt and uncle. His childhood was tumultuous, and his relationship with his mom remains strained due to her drug addiction. As a coping mechanism he developed a goofy, over-the-top personality. He let his loneliness lead to creativity and he put that energy into writing music and being involved in the local music scene.

Fast forward to 2017, Vaines moved to sleep at a buddy's house in Los Angeles. With just $200 worth of home studio equipment Vaines writes, records, and tracks each song himself. "Nobody Like You" showcases Vaines' dark, ethereal bedroom pop vibe.

"Nobody Like You" was mixed by Serge Courtois (Nick Jonas, LANY, Bebe Rexha), and mastered by Joe LaPorta (Shawn Mendes, The Weeknd, K.Flay). He will be performing this debut song and others at Emo Nite LA on April 3 at Echoplex.
