TORONTO IS GETTING A SANDWICH FESTIVAL
On Sunday, April 22nd, 2018, come
explore the latest addition in Toronto’s food festival scene: Toronto Sandwich Fest
(TSF)! TSF is here to celebrate everything a sandwich could be.
TSF is brought to Toronto by a team of sandwich loving
foodies with a passion for the superbly dynamic, always exciting meal,
loved throughout the city – and all over the world. Sponsorship Manager Ilana
Awronski, who also happens to have conceived the original idea behind the festival,
shares: "TSF has been years in the making - borne out of my life-long love
of food. Sandwiches are one of those dynamic staples in our diets
which we often overlook, but everyone has a favourite kind. As picnic season is
rolling around the corner, it only makes sense that we, the city, dedicate a
day to celebrating everything sandwiches!"
TSF will deliver a food-filled Sunday, with music, drinks, and the secret
ingredient to mastering the art of the sandwich: Maille Dijon mustards.
TSF’s Official Mustard will be hosting the Maille Sandwich Design
Contest: a competition in which participants will have a chance to showcase
their sandwich-making skills using the ingredients provided. The
competition will be in good hands with our locally- sourced judges panel:
Chef Elia Herrera of Colibri (as well as Top Chef Canada), Chef Ivana Raca
of Resto Boemo (as well as Top Chef Canada), Stuart Ross of Bulldog Coffee, and
Carly Spears, Marketing Director of Assembly Chef’s Hall.Attendees can also
look forward to some insider tips from the pros, with live chef demos
by Chef Paul Marshall of Love Chix, and Chef Lawrence La Pianta of
Cherry Street Bar-B-Que.
TSF is a non-profit event, fundraising for two great causes:

food in a manner that maintains dignity, builds health and community, and
