Melbourne’s Uno Stereo aka Nic Martin has made a global name for himself as a young producer that thrives in many settings. He’s worked with grime royalty Wiley, Wale, Destructo (“Bandz” feat. Kevin Gates, Denzel Curry and Yo Gotti), Busta Rhymes, and he co-produced on Khalid’s massive American Teen.

Uno looked to Kaytranada, Knxwledge and the LA beat scene for inspiration. He crafted the tape while in lockdown - many of the songs sparked by obsessively cutting up vocals from some of his Aussie collaborators. 60% of it was composed and performed by Uno himself. These songs are spread with a thick layer of soul, a downtempo cool-off tightly wrapped in neon lights. Uno says it's music he made to take him out of a dark headspace.

The 6-song beat tape is the first in a slate of new music to come from Uno between now and this fall.
