Toronto-based creators launch Together T-shirt with proceeds going to Operation Prefrontal Cortex

The world has been turned upside down as the #BlackLivesMatter movement takes a powerful stand to end systematic racism globally. As the movement is taking place during a health pandemic, youth program budgets have been forced to reallocate to help stop the spread of the virus. These programs are geared towards supporting marginalized communities with various programs and extra-curricular activities to help keep youth off the streets.

With 2019 having more shootings than any year to date – more than 490 incidents – and 83 gun-related deaths within the first six months of 2020, it is important to keep in mind that gun violence is prevalent in our city.

In response to these realities, a group of Toronto-based creators have joined forces to launch the Together T-shirt with all proceeds going directly to Operation Prefrontal Cortex, an organization creating a program harnessing the power of mindfulness and meditation to help reduce the incidents of gun and mass violence in Toronto.
