A Brand New Socially Distanced, All-Ages, Food and Community Dance Music Experience is Coming to San Antonio

San Antonio’s first-ever Electric Cookout is coming April 17, presented by Electric Fiesta and EDM Maniac. In 2020, Electric Fiesta was one of the first promoters in the country to innovate the live entertainment industry amidst the coronavirus pandemic with its premier event: EDM Drive-In. By placing an emphasis on safety and hospitality, EDM Drive-In was able to complete two successful renditions. This time around, Electric Fiesta is producing the event with dance music powerhouse EDM Maniac, and is once again ready to revolutionize the live events industry with its latest socially distanced concept: Electric Cookout.

WHO: Electric Fiesta and EDM Maniac

WHAT: Taking place downtown, Electric Cookout will feature San Antonio’s favorite food trucks, curated and selected by the city’s leading own food and beverage tastemaker SATXrated. The event will also feature an exciting lineup of dance music, comedy, live art, and other talent that will be released soon. 

WHEN: On April 17, 2021, Electric Fiesta and EDM Maniac will debut the nation’s FIRST outdoor ALL AGES EDM “socially distanced dining” experience in San Antonio, Texas. 

WHERE: The Lot at 800 Live in San Antonio, TX

WHY: The Electric Fiesta team hopes to boost the local economy for entertainers affected by the coronavirus crisis and hopes to provide many jobs and opportunities through this event. Electric Cookout will exclusively feature local food, activity and merchant vendors, as well as conduct a canned food drive in partnership with the San Antonio food bank.

The mission of this new debut event is to bring joy through the experience of live music and showcase the best of San Antonio food, music and culture in one accessible all ages event. By collaborating with hospitality experts such as SATXrated, Electric Cookout plans to become a true representation of the best of the city San Antonio.

Electric Fiesta and EDM Maniac are putting many measures in place to ensure the safest way for San Antonio residents and guests to connect and party. Festival planners have collaborated with Bexar County Officials, Local Health Departments, Bexar County Sheriff, the Fire Marshall, and the venue team on logistics that exceed state regulations. Attendees will be required to wear a mask for the duration of the event unless eating or drinking. Ins and outs will be permitted to allow guests to enjoy the event at their own pace based on their desired choice of programming. 

All activities will be modified to be enjoyed with social distancing. Extensive sanitization protocols will be put in place. High tops, picnic tables and grass seating will be available and marked to enforce guided social distancing between parties. 

With a low starting ticket price of $20, Electric Fiesta has made a priority to develop safe low-cost events accessible to everyone, regardless of age, income or interest. Whether you’re watching a comedy show from our special guest “Roastmaster” or looking to rage in the evening at our headliner; there’s something for everyone at Electric Cookout.

EDM Maniac is the presenting partner for Electric Cookout. Founded in 2012, EDM Maniac is the premier source for all things EDM. What started as a publication to amplify emerging dance artists and events to the world, has now expanded to a multifarious brand. Along with their digital publication, EDM Maniac hosts weekly CDC-compliant live events and produces technologically advanced live streams. Through their various verticals, EDM Maniac wishes to bring information, entertainment, and unity within the electronic dance community’s ever-changing landscape both online and offline.  

CLEAR HEALTH PASSES

Electric Fiesta and EDM Maniac are excited to partner with CLEAR and provide optional access to CLEAR's Health Pass technology for attendees. Health Pass is a free, mobile experience by CLEAR that securely connects a user’s verified identity to multiple layers of COVID-19-related health information. With Electric Cookout, attendees will be able to submit a health survey and link their COVID-19 test results to their Health Pass. CLEAR's Health Pass will be optional for all Electric Cookout attendees and those who successfully complete a Health Pass will receive expedited entry and additional incentives.
