goodboy noah is a Bounty Hunter in "uptight" Video

Following the release of fresh breakout singles "dial tone" and "tie down,” rising Southern California-based singer and songwriter goodboy noah is back today with an upbeat new track paired with a cinematic Western-themed visual for "uptight," the latest off his forthcoming debut solo EP due out this summer.

"uptight" is co-written by Noah and Micah Gordon (Cautious Clay, Neon Trees) who also produced the sassy record, which is a nod to the popular sample originally from 70s R&B group The Whispers' "You Are Number One" and prominently featured in Snoop/Nate Dogg's "I'm Fly" and Monica's "So Gone." In typical goodboy noah fashion, the accompanying cinematic visual is a must watch and finds the Toronto native squared off in a hilarious duel with his partner-in-crime.

“My new single ‘uptight’ is about someone who wants to rain on your parade when you’re having a good time,” shares goodboy noah. “Micah and I wrote this song back in 2018, when we used to perform covers at a small lounge in LA. One time we were playing the first version of this song when Justin Bieber randomly came in the lounge and gave me a back rub while I was singing it. It was pretty surreal, so I feel like it was a sign I needed to record and release it.”

goodboy noah is a Toronto native, now based in LA, who is most known for his 2018 collaborative EP Everything, All at Once with Toronto-based producer Shagabond, which racked up millions of streams on Spotify and earned critical praise from The FADER, Complex Canada, Flaunt Magazine, EARMILK, Lyrical Lemonade, and Fashionably-Early. "My goal as an artist is to bring joy to myself and others with the music I make,” says Noah of his recent solo breakout. “I want people to see you don't have to take things too seriously."
