JAMAICA'S PROJEXX AND KONSHENS WANT THE LADIES TO “BRACE IT” ON NEW TRACK
Jamaican genre-blurring dancehall star Projexx returns with the Konshens-assisted “Brace It,” the fast-rising singer’s first new offering of 2022.
Club-ready and instantly catchy, “Brace It” showcases Projexx’s pop instincts and vulnerable lyricism. It might only be May, but this is shaping up to be a Song of the Summer contender.
Both artists slide on the song’s rich, feel-good production and lean into the subject matter with boundless romance; an intoxicating example of a global cross-over track that never loses sight of its core dancehall identity.
Last year, Projexx shared his debut EP, Queen Hill, which included the scorching “Sidepiece” — not to mention winning collaborations with Toian, Jesse Royal, and Bakersteez — and garnered coverage from The FADER, Complex, Billboard, Jamaica Observer, and more. In March, Projexx shared stripped-down, acoustic performances of songs from the project. With a widely praised debut under his belt, 2022 is bound to be an expansive year for Projexx as he puts the finishing touches on new music due out this summer.
