Chitose Abe, founder of sacai, is known for taking unexpected components and layering them together for heightened form and function. The Magmascape x sacai is no exception, a rugged yet elegant hybrid of an ‘80s hiking boot and a ‘90s intrepid running shoe. The lugged outsole, round boot laces, and suede paneling draw inspiration from the Nike Air Magma. Airy textiles and the iconic side-lacing design are pulled from the Nike Air Footscape. The resultis a futuristic execution made for everyday exploration.
