RAPSODY AND ERYKAH BADU PERFORM “3:AM” WITH THE ROOTS ON THE TONIGHT SHOW STARRING JIMMY FALLON
On Monday night, multi Grammy-nominated recording artist Rapsody made her anticipated return to late-night TV on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon. The momentous occasion was complete with a special guest appearance by her close friend Erykah Badu and legendary hip-hop band The Roots. Together, they delivered a mesmerizing performance of “3:AM” that brought the energy of the studio to life.
The live airing was preempted by the Democratic National Convention (DNC). Instead, it will be delayed for one week and air on Friday, August 30.
Please Don’t Cry has already garnered widespread praise, with the album being described as not “just Rapsody’s most personal and vulnerable album,” but also “her best” by UPROXX, “a glimpse into who she is as a person” by Okayplayer, and “a generous insight into Rapsody’s healing process, which has more to offer with each listen” by Clash Magazine, among others. It notably marks a true artistic departure, exploring the depth of her talent with more vulnerability than any prior releases.
