Mike Posner' Says It's A "Beautiful Day" - OUT NOW
GRAMMY Award-nominated multi-platinum artist, songwriter, and producer Mike Posner officially launches a new era with a soaring single and autobiographical music video, “Beautiful Day” out now via Arista Records. The release is a summit of sorts following an intensive period of personal growth — this is the point when Mike invites the world to join his journey.

Mike unpacks the moment in a note he shared about his new song: My dad told me the two most important things were health and happiness. Health came easy for me, but for a long time I was in search of happiness. Frustrated, I decided to go on a spiritual journey, walking across America. Doing so, I discovered the 5 gems of wisdom for health and happiness. "Beautiful Day" is the soundtrack to self-discovery and joy.
Sure enough, the song plays like a revelation, building from a humble guitar figure to a horizon-hugging mix of piano hits, pounding drums, synth tones, and ooh-along moments. Mike’s voice is sober but warm as he delivers his message: “I’m done being a pessimist / The old way wasn’t working / I gotta put that work in / I know i’m far from perfect / But it’s time for a change / It’s a beautiful day to be alive / So if you’ve got love, then give it away.”
The video uses archival footage and captions to show us how Mike got here, from “the guy that sang ‘I Took a Pill in Ibiza’” to “the guy that walked across America,” on through a period of depression that he has now climbed out of, having resolved that, “I, MIKE POSNER, WILL LOVE MYSELF, NO MATTER WHAT!” We see him perform for huge crowds, trek down dusty roads, and weep at the top of the world, before the video clips narrow in scope: Mike journals, jogs, and literally jumps for joy. He asks us to do the same.
“Beautiful Day” arrives at an extraordinary time for Mike. In March, he gave a TED Talk entitled “5 Lessons on Happiness” inspired by his 2019 3,000-mile walk across the country, during which he was bitten by a rattlesnake. He’s also recently been hosting guided meditations and inspirational chats to all comers over Zoom — a practice that can be seen as a culmination of several meaningful experiences: his time in nature, which includes having summited Mt. Everest in 2021; his 2022 training and certification as a Wim Hof Breathing Technique instructor; and his Adventures with Mike Icelandic wellness cruise in 2023.
Mike’s last few musical years have been marked by a string of singles and collaborations, but in August he shared that — alongside the book he is writing — a new album is on the way
