GASHI READIES FORTHCOMING ALBUM 'THE KILLAH WHALES OF GOTHAM'

Multi-platinum recording artist Gashi takes flight with his third single of the year entitled “Manicures on Board,” readying fans for the release of his sixth studio album, The Killah Whales of Gotham. The track follows on from March’s collaborative release “Halos & Dracos” featuring Jimi Banks.

Infusing metaphors, punchlines, and double entendres, Gashi and Jimi’s chemistry as a pairing is front and center. “Manicures on Board” showcases an unshakeable bond between the childhood friends as they trade off verses about their unconventional lifestyles. Armed with laidback but focused bars that flow like silk, the duo navigate a world of materialism and fulfillment over downtempo hip-hop production: “Got fifty on the wrist, a hundred on my neck / That’s yo whole whip / That painting on my wall, that’s yo whole crib / I just bought a yacht on the toilet, I’m the sh*t.”

Last weekend, Gashi made a surprise appearance during DJ Snake’s set in Paris, at the iconic Stade de France. He delighted audiences by joining the Grammy-nominated producer and artist on stage to perform their joint single “Paris” to a sold-out arena. The unexpected performance further solidified Gashi’s position as a dynamic and influential force on an international stage. Adding to his recent highlights, the one-night-only appearance drew over 100,000 fans for a record-breaking concert at one of France’s biggest venues.

This all builds on the momentum of Gashi’s previous single, “Halos & Dracos” feat. Jimi Banks, which racked up praise from major publications including BillboardXXLVibe Magazine, among others. The track, alongside February’s “Pen Pals,” kickstarted Gashi’s campaign for his sixth studio album – The Killah Whales of Gotham. A release date for the project hasn’t been revealed yet, but fans have been clamoring for it ever since the Brooklyn native started dropping hints on social media. And from the looks of his posts on Instagram, he’s aiming to make an indelible impression on not only hip-hop, but also the fashion world.
