Vendredi sur Mer Releases "Des Montagnes de Toi" in advance of North and South American Tour
Swiss’ Vendredi sur Mer shares a brand new track, "Des Montagnes de Toi" in advance of her long-awaited North and South American tour, in support of her album Malabar Princess and the earlier released single “Si t’étais là”. “Des montagnes de toi” is an intimate track built around a bewitching piano and melancholic melody — very much in line with her core storytelling, while offering a natural bridge from the emotional universe currently resonating on “Écoute Chérie”.

Vendredi sur Mer will be supporting on stage during her 11-date American tour, starting on March 5th in Washington, DC, with stops in New York, Boston, through Canada, via Chicago, Denver, Los Angeles, San Francisco, and ending in Mexico with the big Foro Indie Rocks and C4 Stage festivals.
Her much lauded Malabar Princess album includes “Arrêter le temps” featuring the pianist/composer Sofiane Pamart, “Malabar Princess”, “Hard” (feat. Hanni El Khatib), and “Tout résonne”!
The title track “Malabar Princess” sounds like a nostalgic ode to her native Switzerland and the Swiss Alps in particular. Malabar Princess marks a return to the softness and nostalgia of her early work, following a more combative phase. Born from a writing residency in Montréal, the album reflects her return to the mountains and a search for self. Sam Tiba and new collaborators Adrien Gallo and Owlle helped guide this evolution toward more organic, intimate sounds. Malabar Princess is a sincere, poetic album where the artist fully reveals herself, blending desire and truth.
“Arrêter le temps” shows Vendredi sur Mer and the renowned French pianist/composer Sofiane Pamart bringing a touch of emotion, making this piano-voice duet a breath of fresh air on the album. Blending touching lyrics and a melancholic instrumental in perfect harmony, the track feels like an open letter, destined to resonate deeply with every listener.
With her third album, Malabar Princess, she returns to her roots and draws inspiration from the landscapes of her childhood in the Swiss mountains. After starting her artistic journey in photography, Charline Mignot (her real name) transitioned to music, creating Vendredi sur Mer, a persona that led to her debut album Premiers émois (2019) and the darker Métamorphose (2022).
