Titled “LONELY AT THE TOP,” Episode Two offers an unfiltered portrait of an artist at work and in reflection. Moving between candid studio sessions and archival footage from the making of Lonely At The Top, the episode explores Joey’s evolving relationship with his craft and the intentionality behind this chapter of his life. What emerges is a rare window into the person behind the music; and the space where his experiences, perspective, and creativity converge.

Through Time Will Tell, fans will get their most intimate look yet at Joey Bada$$ as he reflects on the 2025 burnout that forced him to slow down, the canceled tour that reshaped his perspective, and the personal experiences that transformed him as an artist, father, and creative, marking the beginning of a new chapter in his life.

Directed by longtime creative collaborator Waqas Ghani (@waqas.ghani), who quietly documented Joey's journey throughout the making of ‘Lonely At The Top,’ Time Will Tell transforms a year of unseen footage into a nostalgic, cinematic portrait of an artist in constant evolution. Captured through Waqas' signature gritty VHS lens, the film isn't interested in revisiting the past; it asks what it truly means to evolve while continually redefining yourself.

At its core, Time Will Tell is more than a documentary — it's a story about personal evolution and one of hip-hop's most respected artists embracing growth on his own terms. The journey culminates with his upcoming Time Will Tell Residency at the legendary Blue Note jazz club, an intimate three-night experience designed as a live extension of the documentary. Spanning six dates across Los Angeles (August 29–31) and New York City (September 5–7), the residency reimagines more than a decade of Joey's celebrated catalog through three distinct nightly experiences, each performed in both cities. Backed by a live band in a never-before-seen setting, the “Time Will Tell” residency takes fans on a chronological journey through Joey's artistic evolution, pairing era-defining records with beloved fan favorites in one of the most intimate live experiences of his career.

“Joey Badass has declared himself the King of New York” – Complex

“[Joey Bada$$] turned the heat up a few notches with his menacing ‘Dark Aura’”
– Billboard

“For one thing, Badass can still get down on the mic like nobody’s business. For another, his ear for beats that deftly tightrope the often opposing demands of the mainstream and his established lane has only grown more adept”  – UPROXX
