DRAKE ADDS SELECT CITY AND FESTIVAL CIRCUIT PERFORMANCES

Line Up Announced for Annual OVO FEST Following Week of Record Sales 

 Drake will be releasing a collector’s edition of his latest project, a mixtape titled If You’re Reading This It’s Too Late on April 21^st, 2015.  Without any promo or marketing, Drake continues to dominate the charts with the unannounced project, selling over 774,000 copies in the United States, becoming the first rapper to top Billboard’s Artist 100 charts, and streaming over 140 million times on Spotify. The mixtape’s accompanying short film, titled Jungle, has been viewed over 4 million times.

Drake just revealed his first collaboration between his OVO brand, purveyor Mitchell & Ness, and the NBA's Toronto Raptors, with a line of limited edition apparel including hoodies, jerseys, hats and sweatshirts in the signature OVO black and gold. While Drake continues to serve as Global Ambassador for the Raptors, the collection became available online at Raptors.com/OVO and at Real Sports inside Air Canada Centre in Toronto as of March 27. OVO is also hosting its own pop-up shop on S. La Brea Ave in Los Angeles through April 30.

Additionally, Drake recently announced his partnership with iconic art auction house Sotheby’s for an exhibition of contemporary works by black American artists on sale at their New York headquarters from April 28^th to June 12^th. Drake’s contribution includes selecting music to view with the art, roughly 20 works by artists including Rashid Johnson, Kara Walker, and Jean-Michel Basquiat.

Drake will also be headlining three major festivals, in addition to adding new concert dates, beginning next month and heading into the summer, performing for hundreds of thousands of fans, starting with California’s Coachella on both weekends (Sunday, April 12^th and Sunday, April 19^th), Houston’s Toyota Center (Sunday, May 24^th), Detroit’s The Palace of Auburn Hill (Wednesday, May 27^th), Chicago’s United Center (Friday, May 29^th), Montreal’s Bell Centre (Sunday, May 31^st), Toronto’s Air Canada Centre (Tuesday, June 2^nd), then New York’s Governor’s Ball (Friday, June 5^th), followed by the UK’s Wireless Festival (Friday, July 3^rd).

Drake and October’s Very Own also just announced the lineup for their sixth annual OVO FEST, adding an unprecedented third day to the festival, to take place Saturday, August 1^st, 2015 – Monday, August 3^rd, 2015 at Toronto’s Molson Canadian Amphitheatre. Over 35,000 fans will gather at the festival for performances by Drake, Kevin Hart, J. Cole, Big Sean, and other surprise guests, in addition to the return of the OVO Summit and OVO Bounce basketball summer league, to entertain fans and celebrate the spirit of Toronto during Scotiabank Toronto Caribbean Carnival.  Past performers at OVO FEST include Stevie Wonder, Snoop Dogg, Usher, Nicki Minaj, Eminem, Jay Z, Nas, TLC, P Diddy, Kanye West, and many more. As in years past, tickets sold out within moments of their release.
