AIDEN MYERS GETS PERSONAL WITH RELEASE OF NEW SINGLE “HELP ME”
Sharing his own struggles surrounding his personal journey with mental health, Toronto electro-pop artist Aiden Myers leaves nothing left unsaid in his newest release “Help Me”, available for streaming everywhere today. The track comes as the second release from his upcoming EP Overthinking, and offers his most honest songwriting to date. Opening with ethereal synths, and soft beats building into the pure anguish of Myers’ vocals, “Help Me” hits listeners deep both sonically and emotionally.
Opening up about the track, Myers notes: "Help Me is easily the most personal record on the EP. The song came about during one of the worst nervous breakdowns of my life. We had all the songs done for the EP and I knew I needed to write a song about my mental health and anxiety. I’m very nervous about putting this one out, but I hope to god it can reach people, and hopefully let people know that they are not alone."
Myer's newest track follows a handful of independently released singles and features, which has amassed over 2 million streams across platforms, including his latest release "Alone Tonight". Setting lo-fi electro-pop flourishes against a backdrop of deep, vibey R&B beats, bumpy drops and weighty, autobiographical lyrics that explore the varied nuances of human emotion, Myers delivers songs that are tender and agonizing, yet decidedly hopeful.
Having collaborated with the likes of Billboard charting artist Kayla Diamond (Slaight Music), as well as acclaimed producers such as Tokyo Spiers (Walk Off The Earth), MKSTN, Joel Stouffer (Serena Ryder, Dragonette), and Giordan Postorino (Karl Wolf, JRDN), Myers has seen his songs reach the Top 20 on the Viral 50 Canada Spotify chart, and debuted on several major playlists including 'It's a Bop', ‘Time to Dance,’ ‘Viral Hits Canada’ and ‘New Music Friday’.
