ALEX PORAT takes us to another "dimension" with danceable new single

Toronto singer-songwriter Alex Porat shares a new single, "dimension," along with a music video directed by longtime collaborator Iris Kim. With blipping synths over a disco pop four-on-the-floor beat, "dimension" is Porat's most danceable song yet. Appropriately, she serves a TikTok-ready dance in the music video, seductively spinning through different dimensions reminiscent of heaven and hell.

Porat says about the song,

“'dimension' is about being tormented by the idea of wanting someone you can’t have. No matter how hard you try to get this person out of your head you just can’t seem to get rid of them. This song is an acceptance speech acknowledging that some relationships aren’t meant to be, but imagining a world where it could work out."

She adds about the video,

"I spent my whole childhood singing and dancing and today I finally get to live little Alex’s dream. It was such a surreal moment when I realized 'wait I’m dancing to my own song.' It’s a dream to see myself performing this in real life and I can’t wait."
