Emerging Memphis rap artist Fresco Trey drops “Enjoy It,” a nostalgic new single that conjures images of his life before fame, money, and the pressures of success. Laced with sun-soaked guitar and Fresco’s delicately powerful melodies, “Enjoy It” evokes images of warmth and summer fun. That feel-good vibe is reflected in the accompanying animated video.

Coasting above gentle strings, Fresco turns flashes of pre-fame mundanity into a heartfelt reminiscence. “I kinda miss the old days, being broke making no pay,” he sings. “I kinda miss 2K, skipping school on a Tuesday.” The memories leave him with a striking realization: “We were happy when we were poor, but it didn’t matter, ‘cause we enjoyed it.” Returning to simpler times is also the theme of the animated video.
