NOAH KAHAN’S “STICK SEASON” REACHES TOP 10 ON BILLBOARD
GRAMMY® Best New Artist nominee and multi-platinum singer-songwriter Noah Kahan’s global smash hit “Stick Season” enters the Top 10 on the Billboard Hot 100 Chart this week following the release of the long-awaited, final installment of the Stick Season series, Stick Season (Forever). Released on February 9th via Mercury Records / Republic Records, Stick Season (Forever) debuted in the Top 3 on the Billboard Top 200 Chart, and upon release, “Stick Season” immediately rose to #1 on the Spotify Top Songs USA Chart. Not to mention, this week following his two sold-out shows at London’s Wembley Arena, Kahan achieved a rare album and single charts double in the UK as Stick Season (Forever) topped the UK Official Albums Chart for the first time and “Stick Season” held the #1 position on the UK Official Singles Chart for the seventh consecutive week. Noah joins the likes of Taylor Swift, Harry Styles, and Adele as a select group of superstar artists to have accomplished this incredible achievement.
The 30-track Stick Season (Forever) collection includes Kahan’s new single “Forever” and two new collaborations, “You’re Gonna Go Far” with Brandi Carlile and “Paul Revere” with Gregory Alan Isakov. Upon release, “Forever” shot up to the #1 spot on the Spotify Top Songs USA Debut Chart and Genius Charts. Not to mention, Brandi Carlile recently dropped an acoustic performance video of her collaboration. These three new songs join 21 previously released tracks from 2022’s Platinum-Certified Stick Season and its 2023 follow-up Stick Season (We’ll All Be Here Forever), as well as critically acclaimed collaborations with Post Malone, Kacey Musgraves, Hozier, Sam Fender, Gracie Abrams, and Lizzy McAlpine.
Kahan continues to reach new charting success across the globe and shows no signs of slowing down. He recently peaked at #1 on the Billboard Hot 100 Songwriters Chart—a first in his career. At US radio, “Stick Season” is currently Top 15 at Top 40 Radio, Top 20 at Hot AC Radio and Alternative Radio, and Top 25 at AAA Radio, and “Northern Attitude” with Hozier had a five week run at #1 at AAA Radio. Globally, “Stick Season” previously peaked at #1 on the UK National Airplay Chart and is the #1 song in Australia (for three consecutive weeks), Ireland (for fourteen weeks), and the Netherlands (for six consecutive weeks). Impressively, in Ireland, Noah has achieved the “triple crown” claiming the #1 spot on the airplay, album, and single charts and is the first artist to reach seven consecutive weeks at #1 on the album and single charts with the same album and single since 2017. “Stick Season” also is the longest-running #1 song on the Spotify Ireland chart.
In the press world, this weekend, Noah graced the cover of The Guardian and is featured in the latest issue of The New Yorker. For the GRAMMY® Awards, he spent the day getting ready with Vanity Fair and spoke to NPR Weekend Edition about his meteoric rise to superstardom over the past year. Prior to the awards, he sat down with Gayle King on CBS Mornings, where King named him “the most successful breakout artist of the year.” Watch HERE. In December, Kahan made a career-defining musical debut on Saturday Night Live with performances of “Stick Season” and “Dial Drunk.” Last fall, he was named an honoree on the TIME100 Next list—read his op-ed written by two-time Olympic gold medalist Mikaela Shiffrin HERE. He also received a BRIT Awards nomination for “International Song Of The Year” (“Stick Season”), two Billboard Music Awards nominations for “Top Rock Artist” and “Top Rock Album,” a People’s Choice Awards nomination for “The New Artist Of The Year,” and a Pollstar Awards nomination for “New Headliner Of The Year.” Noah has been featured on the covers of several magazines, including Pollstar, Paste Magazine, and SPIN, where Post Malone even called him “one of a kind.”
Following the biggest year of touring in his career thus far, Kahan is currently on his 2024 “We’ll All Be Here Forever World Tour.” The tour, which The Hollywood Reporter recently named one of the Top 10 “Most Anticipated Concert Tours of 2024,” includes sold-out headline shows in stadiums, arenas, and amphitheaters around the globe, including two sold-out nights at Boston’s Fenway Park, New York’s Madison Square Garden, Los Angeles’ Hollywood Bowl, Nashville’s Bridgestone Arena, London’s The O2, and many more.
