Levi’s Vintage Clothing
returns for Spring 2012 with two new washes of its 1955 501 jeans.
Boxier than your average 501, the 1955 sports an “anti-fit” seat area
while the legs receive a slightly fuller cut. Featuring the leather-like
two horse label, capital “E” red tab, zinc button fly and backpockets
with covered rivets, this selvedge denim is a faithful reproduction of
the 1950s original. Dropping this spring in “Fallen Down” and “Faded
Memory” washes, look for the 1955 501 to hit Levi’s Vintage Clothing stockists soon. - HB
