For Spring
2014, heritage boot brand Palladium and Japanese sneaker boutique Atmos
are pleased to debut an ultramodern footwear capsule with
glow-in-the-dark accents. The four-boot unisex collection brings a
uniquely artistic spin to Palladium’s iconic Pampa Hi and Baggy
silhouettes. Limited quantities of the Palladium x Atmos collaboration
are launching today at Atmos flagship stores in Tokyo and New York City,
select specialty retailers and at www.palladiumboots.com.
“Upon being
contacted by Hommyo [of Atmos], I immediately knew he would bring a
fresh and unique perspective to the iconic Palladium boot silhouettes,”
said Hommy Diaz, Global Product Line Manager for Palladium. “In true
Atmos tradition, the splatter paint with glow-in-the-dark outsole and
branding is definitely a neck breaker.”
The Palladium x
Atmos boots feature canvas uppers in a combination of ‘paint splatter’
and black tie-dye prints. Signature Palladium details including a
one-piece molded rubber outsole and a lateral rubber logo patch are
finished in a glow-in-the-dark rubber, bringing a futuristic edge to
Palladium’s authentic military silhouettes. A hugging heel cup combined
with a thick EVA sockliner creates a comfortable stepping ground while
the Atmos logo is prominently displayed on the tongue’s woven label.
About Palladium
Palladium
was founded in 1920 to make aircraft tires for the aviation industry.
In 1947, after the end of WWII saw demand for tires dry up, Palladium
put their canvas and rubber expertise to use by making boots that were
as hard wearing as their tires. Palladium soon became outfitters of the
legendary French Foreign Legion with their classic canvas Pampa boot.
Over 60 years later the timeless design of Palladium’s signature Pampa
boot is as relevant as ever and available once again for explorers
worldwide. For further information, please visit www.palladiumboots.com.
About Atmos
With
a sneaker empire that spans from Japan to NYC, Atmos first opened its
doors in Harajuku in 2000. What sets Atmos apart from your average
sneaker boutique is not only the most sought after limited editions they
have been able to offer, but also the amount of coveted collabs they’ve
done with the best brands in the industry season after season. Five
years into being the premier sneaker destination in Japan, Atmos set
their sights on the U.S. and opened its doors on the famed 125th Street
in New York, bringing Harlem a premier sneakerhead destination.
