#RVCARIOT || Miami Swim || RVCA DEBUTS SPRING 15 with Penthouse Presentation In Conjunction with Beach Riot
MIAMI BEACH, FLORIDA - On Saturday night, July 19th, California
brands RVCA and Beach Riot joined forces to present their Spring Swim
2015 collections during Miami Swim Week at SOHO Beach House in Miami,
Florida. RVCA founder PM Tenore and Beach Riot founder Nicole Hanriot
were joined by guests including Ashley Sky and Jessie Andrews in the
penthouse of the SOHO Beach House where the crowd enjoyed cocktails and
music provided by DJ Chelsea Leyland while viewing the dual
presentations from both RVCA and Beach Riots new swimwear collections.
For Spring 15 RVCA debuted a collection comprised of 44
swimwear pieces marking the brands debut at Miami Swim; the collection
offers a range of separates and full body styles, most notable are the
overall-inspired full body piece and the many styles which feature the
artwork of RVCA Advocate Michelle Blade. With the collaboration on
Spring 15 Blade, an LA based painter who has worked with RVCA as a
Women’s Advocate since 2012 on installations and ad campaigns, will now
join the likes of an ever expanding roster of creative forces that have
worked with the lifestyle brand on collaborative projects across the
brands Advocate and ANP initatives including models Ashley Smith &
Erin Wasson, artists Barry Mcgee, Stephen ESPO Powers, Ed Templeton,
Dash Snow, Chris & Jo and Raymond Pettibon, surfers Alex Knost and
Christian Fletcher as well as Liberty of London, FUCT, CINELLI, and
EKOCYCLE.
The RVCA Spring 15 season also marks the debut by RVCA's new
in-house women's designer Anya Violet who has introduced a collection of
swimwear with streamlined fits and elevated fabrication and
construction in addition to a few pieces produced exclusively for
editorial purposes, an effort that speaks to the brands ongoing efforts
to position the RVCA Women’s brand in front of a more fashion-conscious
consumer. As part of this effort to slowly transition the brand there is
also the introduction of underwire and bralette styles in addition to a
slight increase in the price points for the collection, which now range
from $35 to $90 US dollars.

ABOUT RVCA
RVCA is the brainchild of company Founder and President, PM Tenore.
Transcending the boundaries of traditional action sports apparel, RVCA
is a design-driven lifestyle brand free from passing trends. Appearing
as naturally on the shelves of boutiques as on those of a local skate
shop, RVCA is brought together by a group of like-minded individuals
from various subcultures, a collaboration of sorts, a lifestyle within
itself.
PM Tenore's intention from the very beginning has been to create a
platform for RVCA, which combines art, music, fashion and a modern
lifestyle in an original way. At the forefront of this vision has been
RVCA's Artist Network Program (ANP)-a venture established to showcase
the talents of accomplished as well as unknown artists who inspire our
generation and push the boundaries of creative excellence.
Established to promote the genuine integrity of RVCA's subcultures
while simultaneously giving back to the community, RVCA in essence is
redefining the way the market views art and fashion as represented
through the balance of opposites and how they coexist: water, oil; air,
land; destruction, industrialization; art, science; foreign, domestic;
order, chaos; past, present. For RVCA, it is about today, tomorrow and
life as the big picture. It is about inspiring our generation, providing
something of substance and culture and above all doing it with
integrity and as a united family, a close-knit community.
ABOUT RVCA WOMENS
RVCA is built upon the balance of opposites: order, chaos...past,
present...dark, light. The RVCA girl is no different. She’s inspired by
street culture as much as the runway.
