For Fall/Winter 2018, adidas has teamed up with iconic Japanese streetwear brand A Bathing Ape® (BAPE®) on a snowboarding capsule collection applying BAPE®’s iconic design language to a range of adidas Snowboarding silhouettes.

Situated in the heart of Tokyo, one of the leading fashion hubs of the world, A Bathing Ape® (or BAPE®) strives to introduce Japanese fashion culture to the world. Since the brand's establishment in 1993, it has remained as a symbol of street fashion for more than 25 years. Thus far, it has produced iconic design items, original patterns and characters such as “APE HEAD”, “BAPE® CAMO”, “BAPE STA™”, “SHARK HOODIE” and “BABY MILO®” etc.

adidas Snowboarding by BAPE® Fall/Winter 2018 sees the popular BAPE® “LINE 1ST CAMO”, an outline variation of the original ABC camo, applied to a range of adidas Snowboarding apparel and footwear silhouettes, elevated with premium materials and Aurora reflective print details.

The collaboration’s apparel offer comprises the BAPE® Tech Hoodie, BAPE® Slopetrotter Pant and BAPE® Snow Jacket – a comprehensive winter sport wardrobe. The BAPE® Tech Hoodie, constructed from Climalite® fabric with a durable water-repellent coating, offers lightweight insulation and sweat-wicking benefits, while the application of LINE 1ST CAMO in Aurora reflective print, as long as BAPE® and adidas Trefoil logo branding on the right and left chest, add a distinctive streetwear touch to the slope essential.

Next up, the BAPE® Slopetrotter Pant assumes a 5k/5k breathable shell construction while an elastic waistband with adjustable webbing belt ensures a comfortable fit. The pant’s Aurora LINE 1ST CAMO print is accented with contrast pocket panels, finished with BAPE® and adidas branding.

Finally, the BAPE® Snow Jacket boasts a 10k/10k waterproof fabric, contrasting an Aurora LINE 1ST CAMO print lower panel with a blacked-out upper torso, offering maximum visibility with unmissable BAPE® style. The result is a comprehensive snowboarding wardrobe combining pinnacle adidas Snowboarding tech with a timeless BAPE® aesthetic.

The apparel is then complemented by an accompanying footwear release – the 3ST.002 BAPE® model. Based on a key adidas Skateboarding model, the 3ST.002 features nubuck upper with a sockfit slip-on construction, accented by LINE 1ST CAMO in a thermos-reactive allover print. Additional reflective branding details on the lateral quarter complete the look, pushing the minimalist aesthetic of the original 3ST.002 silhouette into a whole new space.
