Joyce Wrice Drops Choreo-Filled "Bittersweet Goodbyes" Video
Fresh off the heels of her career-defining NPR Tiny Desk concert, R&B singer-songwriter Joyce Wrice – hailed by Rolling Stone and Teen VOGUE as “a major new voice in R&B” who is “poised to become R&B royalty” – today drops the official video for her Motive EP focus single “Bittersweet Goodbyes”
Co-directed by Juliann McCandless and Ashley Bone, the steamy visual finds the current Proud Family theme song vocalist delivering a show-stopping dance performance featuring choreography by Brian Drake and appearances from Kiana Ledé, ESTA., and Mack Keane who co-wrote and co-produced the track alongside Kaelin Ellis (Lupe Fiasco, Sango, KAYTRANADA).
Joyce is gearing up to perform two headline shows later this month beginning on February 14th at Bowery Ballroom in New York with support from Courtnie and on February 18th at the El Rey Theatre in Los Angeles with special guest Phabo – TICKETS HERE
The follow-up to her widely praised March 2021 debut album Overgrown, Wrice’s Motive EP features her latest hit “Iced Tea” and finds the singer-songwriter expanding the range and depths of her sound while reuniting with multiple GRAMMY Award winner KAYTRANADA — who produced three of the five songs on the project — in addition to contributions from multi-platinum producer Kaelin Ellis (Lupe Fiasco, Sango, KAYTRANADA), hitmaking Nigerian producer Osinachi (Ciara, Tinashe, Pussycat Dolls), and rising R&B artist Mack Keane (UMI, ESTA, Destin Conrad). Joyce contributes her signature sweet songwriting to each of the EP’s tracks and has enlisted a who's who roster of R&B’s finest co-writers such as Trey Campbell (Giveon, H.E.R., John Legend) and Miraa May (Jorja Smith, Rico Nasty, Mahalia) to round out the project.
