Rapper Juelz Santana was arrested this week in New Jersey on suspicion of making terrorist threats ... TMZ has learned.

Law enforcement sources wouldn't specify what constituted the threats, but they tell us, Juelz -- real name LaRon James -- was also booked for disorderly conduct.

According to law enforcement, the rapper refused to let officers search his vehicle, which was later impounded by cops.

Juelz was released hours later on $46,500 bail. Calls to his reps were not returned.- TMZ

His most recent arrest came in February of 2010, when the Bergen County gang task force raided his studio.
In that incident, police uncovered two 9mm handguns, as well as 17 small baggies of marijuana, after a ten-month investigation into alleged gang activity in the studio.
