Hacktivist group Anonymous were able to gain access to CBS.com and
delete, well, everything. This would seem to be part of their
retaliation for the shutting down of MegaUpload last week.
Though the takedown only lasted a few minutes, it illustrates the
strength of the group's hacking muscle. There are reports that they also
temporarily shut down Universalmusic.com, and the National Journal notes that some Anonymous spokespersons implied Fox might be the next target.
Last time Anon went on a revenge spree, the DOJ, RIAA, MPAA,
Universal, EMI, FBI and others all got a piece of the takedown fun.
