Diddy's MC King Los Announces New Mixtape And N. American Tour

After Platinum/Bad Boy/Interscope recording artist King Los will celebrate the release of Zero Gravity II- the highly anticipated follow-up to Los’ critically acclaimed mixtape Zero Gravity (released April 2010)- and his birthday (3/23) on March24th.  Unlike his last mixtape Becoming King, Los gets personal by sharing his real-life experiences and telling the story of his underprivileged hometown, Baltimore.

Zero Gravity II defines hip-hop’s recent return to the state of which lyricism and originality is held in high regards, King Los resurrects the art of storytelling and intricate word play. The mixtape boasts production from Dot & Pro, Hitmaka (formerly Yung Berg), J Oliver and Devin Cruise, among others. King Los makes his production debut on the cautionary track “Do Something,” moving expertly through various sections, using Arabic chimes here, auto-tuned hooks there and 808’s in-between.

King Los is set to kick things off today with the release of his first single “Play Too Rough,” – the MC drops frightening lyrics over an eerie track, produced by J Oliver; the free download is available exclusively on premier hip-hop site Hotnewhiphop.com, download the single here: http://hnhh.co/seaqxf

Following the release of Zero Gravity II, King Los will join Kid Ink’s “My Own Lane” tour on a 21-date, North American tour presented by Live Nation’s “Ones To Watch” concert series with Skype. The tour starts in Vancouver, BC on April 1st- see all tour dates below. Pre-sale tickets are now available

Known for being a ferocious freestyle lyricist, King Los’ response to Kendrick Lamar’s “Control” verse was felt around the world. Kendrick revealed in an interview that he liked Los’ freestyle the most saying, “Los was flipping his words and putting that spunk on it. I think he had the killer thing though. Yeah, Los killed it out of everybody.”
