Thousands of fans lined up outside of the Austin Music Hall on Thursday, March 13, 2014 to witness the first night of DNES Marketing's three-part SXSW Takeover, JMBLYA presented by global, streetwear brand, Pink + Dolphin. Co-headliner Steve Aoki drove the crowd into a frenzy with an hour-long, interactive set complete with crowd rafting and his signature cake hurdling. The world renowned DJ took the concept of crowd surfing to a whole new level, riding an air mattress on fans. Headlining act Wiz Khalifa and the Taylor Gang, Chevy Woods, Courtney Noelle, Tuki Carter, Ty Dolla $ign and Berner brought the house party experience to the stage, rife with expected party favors and high energy. Amber Rose shared a kiss with Wiz and Ty Dolla $ign performed his club hit "Paranoid."  The first night of SWSX Takeover ended on a very high note.

The 2012 SXSW Takeover kicked off with an equally impressive crew of openers, including some of the most talked about newcomers in urban music today. Mack Wilds made his SXSW debut with a performance of his infectious Grammy-nominated single "Own It." Equally impressive were freshmen Tory Lanez and G-Eazy, who undoubtedly gained new followers tonight. Vic Mensa and his crew had the boys and girls crowd surfing, while IAMSU! and Sage The Gemini and the whole HBK Gang brought the Bay flavor to Texas.

The 2014 SXSW Takeover continues on Friday, March 14 with the Mass Appeal x Grooveshark Takeover featuring Nas, Flying Lotus, B.o.B., Thundercat, and A$AP Mob, with host Sway and music provided by Mick Boogie.
