Last week on Wednesday, April 2nd
at premier streetwear clothing brand Young
& Reckless’ showroom on Melrose Ave. in Los Angeles, over 100 guests
enjoyed the sites and sounds at LA-based rapper/producer $kinny’s Ghetto Disneyland Listening- a unique audio/visual experience combining 3-D glo-art,
music and imagination. $kinny transported guests to his glow-in-the-dark
dreamland filled with trippy 3-D Mickey Mouse art wall installations,
panda-face beauties and vulgar vintage cartoons.
Celebrities who came out for the first listen, included:
Grammy-winning recording artist Ne-Yo,
Rostrum Records recording artist Vali,
K-Duce (pronounced Kay Duce Cee) of
PTAF, Young Life and Power 106 /
Young California’s DJ Carisma.
Throughout the night, the Saudi-born artist unveiled a
collection of hard-hitting, cleverly constructed melodic songs with a heady
vibe. DJ Carisma kept the crowd moving with bangers “All Gold (Robocop)” and “Talk
4 Me,” while sexy $kinny Mobb
bartenders poured up glowing Disneyland themed cocktails.
Event producers, Feed Me Entertainment and $kinny’s manager
Diezel gave special thanks to the sponsors that supported the event, including:
Young & Reckless, Premier Entertainment Services, Compound Entertainment’s Malibu
“Red” Rum, Hennessy Black and Red Bull. $kinny thanked everyone who came out to
support his debut project including Motown Records, Universal Republic,
Interscope Records, HNHH, HHDX, Myspace, Hip-Hop Wired, LA Weekly, Live Mixtapes and
more.
