On Saturday, July 26, 2014, Chris Paul hosted the
Second Annual TopSpin Charity Ping Pong Tournament at Lagasse's Stadium at The Palazzo® Las Vegas.
Paul was joined by fellow basketball stars Lavoy Allen, Alan Anderson,
Rudy Gay, Isaiah Thomas, CJ Watson, Al-Farouq Aminu, Stephen Curry,
Willie Green,
Roger Mason, Jerry Stackhouse, P.J. Tucker, and Jerome Williams, who
all battled for the championship.
The
players were joined by table tennis stars Soo Yeon Lee and Wally Green,
who emceed the event along with Sports X Radio announcer Ken Thomson.
The players faced off
in a bracket format where Chris Paul ended up facing off against Jerome
Williams for the title. Chris Paul defeated Jerome Williams to win
back-to-back TopSpin Charity Ping Pong championships. Later in the
evening guests enjoyed a surprise visit from boxing
champion Floyd Mayweather and basketball analyst Kenny Smith, who was
in Las Vegas celebrating his birthday at Azure Luxury Pool at The
Palazzo.
