DRAKE TO HOST AND PERFORM AT FIFTH ANNUAL OVOFEST IN TORONTO WITH OUTKAST

EDUCATIONAL SUMMIT AND SUMMER BASKETBALL LEAGUE ADDED TO FESTIVAL

 

 

  Toronto, Ontario: Drake and October’s Very Own will be hosting their fifth annual OVOFEST at Toronto’s Molson Canadian Amphitheatre Sunday, August 3^rd, 2014 and Monday, August 4^th, 2014. Over 35,000 fans will gather at the sold out festival for musical performances by Drake, Outkast, and other surprise guests, with an educational summit and summer basketball league to entertain fans and celebrate the spirit of Toronto during Scotiabank Toronto Caribbean Carnival. 

Previously announced headliners for this year’s festival include Drake and Outkast, with surprise guests to appear. Past performers at OVOFEST include Stevie Wonder, Snoop Dogg, Nicki Minaj, Eminem, Jay Z, Nas, TLC, P Diddy, Kanye West, and many more.

This year’s OVOFEST will also play host to the OVO Bounce basketball summer league. The teams will be comprised of top local talent and some of the most exciting players from around the globe. The championship game will take place on Friday, August 1^st. 

The OVO Summit will take place on July 31^st, welcoming some of the brightest young minds Toronto has to offer to an educational conference facilitating enlightening conversation amongst notable personalities. The audience will consist of   our next generation of creative youth from the heart of Toronto, to offer a unique educational opportunity while creating a social network and support system necessary to make their dreams a reality.

In 2010, Drake held the first OVOFEST, an annual festival in OVO’s hometown of Toronto, Canada. Tickets for this year’s 5th Annual OVOFEST sold out in record time.
