Electric Punanny, comprised of DJ duo Jasmine Solano (JSMN) and MeLo-X, just released their original "Trini Dem Girls" remix record "Hot Gyal" featuring famed dancehall artist Chi Ching Ching. The track was released exclusively through LARGE UP 

Electric Punanny began as one of NYC's most popular monthly underground parties that boasted founders DJ Jasmine Solano (JSMN) and MeLo-X's love for reggae, dancehall, hip-hop, house and electronic music. Since then, the movement has come to represent a cross section of downtown youth, indie, and street cultures all around the world. Over the last six years, followers of Electric Punanny have been treated to guest DJs and performers, including Chuck Inglish (The Cool Kids), Million $ Mano, Hollywood Holt, Theophilus London, Mickey Factz, Christian Rich, and Scotty B. Artists like Diplo, Maluca, Joell Ortiz, Kid Cudi, Murs, Ninja-Sonik, D-Nice, Curtains, and pro BMX rider, Nigel Sylvester among others, could be spotted taking in the festivities on any given night in NYC.

With such a winning template, it only made sense that Electric Punanny would extend this energy and translate it in other locales worldwide. Electric Punanny just wrapped their 2013 performance tour in Tokyo, Australia, Sweden, Paris, London and Berlin, and will expand their upcoming Fall 2014 tour to China, Korea, Indonesia, Singapore, Philippines and South Africa.

Those who would become regulars of Electric Punanny come to love and appreciate the diverse mix of characters, the perspiration inducing sounds, and just the right amount of GRIT to keep everyone thirsting for more. From running the downtown NYC party scene to establishing themselves as an international music duo, Electric Punanny will continue to produce original material that will culminate in an EP release in 2015.
