Fashion Journal with a Conscience Launches New Website
TORONTO—Last week I Love Goldie, a fashion and lifestyle blog with a
conscience, launched its revamped website ushering in a new era for the
online journal that promotes environmentally friendly fashion labels and
 brands.
Simple yet sophisticated, I Love Goldie’s new
website has been designed as an elegant online platform for featuring
original articles on eco-fashion, as well as introducing ethically
conscious brands and designers.
While it may come as a
surprise to many, the fashion industry is in fact the third most
polluting industry in the world. Every year clothing manufacturers
contribute tonnes of material to landfills, and release harmful
chemicals into the atmosphere via their production processes.
Besides
numerous environmental hazards, a whole slew of human rights
violations, including but not limited to child labor, surround the
fashion industry as well. Numerous reports and studies show that the
vast workforce needed to power the mass production of the fashion
industry is thoroughly underpaid and overworked.
While
the facts surrounding the modern textile industry may be frightening, I
Love Goldie chooses to focus on the silver lining of the matter.
I
Love Goldie recognizes the crucial fact that people have the ability to
vote with their dollar and ensure that the right brands and practices
are in vogue. After all, consumers promote one of the biggest sources of
greenhouse gases on the planet. However, I Love Goldie advocates that
by choosing to shop environmentally friendly, ethical fashion, and
taking steps to live a greener lifestyle, it is possible to make a
difference.
" Love Goldie is a fashion and lifestyle blog with a conscience. Our
mission is to create an online platform that is a space for sharing the
latest information on eco-fashion and promoting labels and products that
cherish the earth, rather than harm it."
