Just when it
seems J. COLE would forgo SXSW 2015 to continue promoting his most
recent release, DNES MARKETING is proud to announce Cole and
his Dreamville Records imprint as the closing act of the 7th Annual
#SXSWTAKEOVER. The Dreamville Takeover will take place
on Saturday, March 21, 2015 at ACL Live (310 Willie Nelson Boulevard, 2nd Street District). While
priority entry will be granted to SXSW Music/Platinum badge and Music
wristband holders, general admissions tickets for the Dreamville
#SXSWTakeover will be available for purchase on the day of the show,
subject to capacity.
When he announced plans to tour the country in
support of his third studio album "2014 Forest Hills Drive," J.
COLE revealed that he would be visiting "all the cities that never get
no love." With the tour kicking off on March 2 and ending its first leg
on April 7, many were surprised to see SXSW left out of the lineup. The
SXSW Dreamville Takeover falls between Cole's tour dates in San Antonio,
TX and New Orleans, LA.
Since 2008, DNES's #SXSWTAKEOVER has delivered some of the biggest Hip-Hop moments at SXSW including the 2012 Shady 2.0 Showcase featuring 50 Cent and Eminem and the 2013 Mass Appeal Ice Cream Social featuring Kendrick Lamar and Bun B and in 2014, JMBLYA with Wiz Khalifa and Steve Aoki, and the Mass Appeal x Grooveshark SXSW Takeover featuring Nas, Flying Lotus and
more. The 2015 #SXSWTakeover is certain to continue the tradition
started in previous years with headliners J. Cole, Wiz Khalifa, and
Action Bronson. In addition to the showcases, DNES will also host a
panel called Sports in Music with the company's founder, Domingo Neris,
Shady Records Co-founder, Paul Rosenberg, Wiz Khalifa, and recording
artist Trevor Andrew.
The 2015 SXSW Takeover is certain to continue
the tradition started in previous years.
