OF ARTISTS FOR ITS SECOND CONSECUTIVE COACHELLA BROADCAST, AIRING FRIDAY, APRIL

For the second consecutive year, AXS TV will broadcast the second weekend of the Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival, anchored by unforgettable performances from some of the biggest names in music. Featuring over 21 hours of live coverage, the network gives viewers an exclusive front-of-the-line pass to one of the largest, best-known and most popular music festivals in the United States, from Friday, April 17 through Sunday, April 19. The festival will air each evening, starting at 9 p.m. ET/6 p.m. PT.
Held at the Empire Polo Club in Indio, CA, the
three-day cultural phenomenon boasts an eclectic blend of mainstream acts, underground
favorites, up-and-comers, and icons, spanning a wide array of genres and
decades. Friday’s live coverage features an all-star lineup that includes critically
acclaimed rock heroes Alabama Shakes
(“Hold On,” “You Ain’t Alone”); Swedish alt-pop singer Lykke Li (“Little Bit,” “No Rest for the Wicked”); post-punk sextet
The War on Drugs (“Lost in the Dream”);
psychobilly legend Reverend Horton Heat (“Baddest
of the Bad”); and blossoming hip-hop artist Azealia Banks (“Ice Princess”).
Then,
on Saturday, April 18, GRAMMY®-winning
rock n’ roll renaissance man Jack White
(“That Black Hat Licorice,” “Blunderbuss”) takes the stage; along with English
electro-rockers Alt-J (“Hunger of
the Pine”); rap duo Run the Jewels
(“Lie, Cheat, Steal”); Southern soul seven-piece St. Paul and the Broken Bones (“Half the City”); and experimental
folk rocker Father John Misty (“I
Love You, Honeybear”). The weekend comes to a close on Sunday, April 19, with indie
queen St. Vincent (“Birth in
Reverse”); neo-pop trendsetters Fitz
& the Tantrums (“Out of My League”); rising Country star Sturgill Simpson (“You Can Have the
Crown”); indie folk artist Vance Joy
(“Riptide”); and synthpop singer St.
Lucia (“Elevate”).
In
conjunction with AXS TV’s season of music festivals, Coachella viewers will be
able to access special festival-specific content on an all-new interactive
microsite via www.axs.tv/festivals.
Using a broadcast alert center, social media updates, in-depth blog posts,
