The Jackson-Triggs Niagara Estate Amphitheatre (@jackson_triggs) is pleased to announce their 2016 summer concert season. The intimate 500 seat open-air venue located at the Jackson-Triggs Niagara Estate Winery in Niagara-on-the-Lake, Ontario plays host to a sparkling all Canadian line-up of musical talent from June 9 to September 9. One of Canada's most sought after concert locales in the middle of wine country, the amphitheatre season pairs local wine and food with music for yet another sure-to-be-sold-out season.
Opening this year's summer concert season are fan favourites the Sam Roberts Band on June 9, 10 and 11th. The season continues with an incredible line-up of Canadian musicians including the charismatic Steven Page (June 17); powerhouse couple Whitehorse (June 18); Canada's most loved frontman brings The Jim Cuddy Band (July 2 & 3); west coast blues crooner Colin James: Up Close and Personal (July 8); Raine Maida and Chantal Kreviazuk entertain with their brand new project Moon vs Sun (July 9); 54/40 celebrate 30 years as a band (July 15); Rootstock returns with an evening of song featuring Moe Berg (Pursuit of Happiness), Chris Murphy (Sloan), Craig Northey (The Odds) & Steven Page (July 16); east coast charm abounds with Alan Doyle & The Beautiful Gypsies (July 22/23); lush Montreal popsters Stars key it up (Aug 12); marvellous coastal songwriter Dan Mangan (Aug 13); the inimitable Bruce Cockburn (Aug 19); singer-songwriter Royal Wood with special guest Jazz singer Emilie-Claire Barlow and the Niagara Symphony Orchestra (Aug 20); The Trews go acoustic (Sept 2); the peerless Bahamas shares his craft (Sept 3); closing out the season are high-energy rockers Arkells (Sept 9.)
In addition to the concerts, guests can also choose to indulge in an exclusive four-course Barrel Cellar dinner at Jackson-Triggs ($90, not including performance ticket). For the eighth consecutive year, Jackson-Triggs Niagara Estate Winery has chosen War Child as their charity of choice for this year's summer amphitheatre concert series. To date they have raised more than $300,000 in support of War Child's work with children whose lives have been devastated by war. This summer's concert series includes three of War Child's longstanding artist supporters, Chantal Kreviazuk, Raine Maida and the Sam Roberts Band.
