TiK▲ Premieres Sophomore EP via Noisey + Live Show

TiK▲, a prominent Toronto-based artist noted for being a tastemaker in Canada’s entertainment industry premieres her sophomore EP “Carry On” on Noisey. This new compositional work serves as rehabilitation for all people ‘doing the work’ to achieve true healing. Since releasing her critically acclaimed debut EP, “Some Things Are Better Left Unsaid,” TiKhas truly found her voice.
TiK▲is an authority when it comes to all things media and entertainment in Toronto. Known primarily as a driving force behind some of the city’s best musical and creative talent, she is now quickly making a name for herself as a soulful singer/songwriter. Since establishing her voice on “Tenfold” (released earlier this year), TiK has conquered a series of musical projects including her first body of work, a performance at Burdock Music Hall, and now, a brand new 4-track EP, “Carry On.”

This latest project is wrought with reflection and honesty, TiK’s voice resonates with a newfound sense of self that is incredibly relatable. The lyrical verse in the title track, “Carry On” is the comforting voice for the aggrieved while “LWY” embodies the freedom of emotional release. The bridge of ‘1121,’ is weighted with the wounds from a former lover as TiK sings, “Do you think about me? Do you think about us? Do you think about love?” The final track and single, “OHMYGOD” features a collaboration with Toronto producer, Harrison and a verse by young rapper, Clairmont the Second. Since his recent tour with SonReal, both media and music enthusiasts are taking note of his lyrical genius and multifaceted talent.

TiK▲’s unique voice has been praised by many tastemakers including Complex and The Source who wrote, TiK’s rich, raspy vocals reveal intimate tales of her experiences based on the vibe of the instrumentals. Her music aims to uplift and blend genres to bring people together.”
TiK▲ will be performing selections from the EP on November 2, 2016 at The Drake Underground at 8pm.

She is also set to take her music on a Canadian and European tour early 2017 along with Amaal Nuux.
