Taste of Toronto announces complete 2017 Chef lineup
The World’s Greatest Restaurant Festival announces this year’s participating restaurants, on-site activations and new offerings.
Taste of Toronto will be returning to Garrison Common at Fort York this year, taking place from June 15-18. To commemorate the announcement of the complete 2017 chef lineup, Taste of Toronto is pleased to present this year’s event photo featuring notable chefs from the city’s top restaurants.
Taking part in the Taste Theatre, as well as participating as a judge for Best in Taste, Taste of Toronto is excited to welcome this year’s special guest chef, television personality and restaurateur, Aarón Sánchez, who will be on-site for Thursday, Friday and Saturday evening sessions. Chef/owner of Johnny Sánchez restaurants, with locations in New Orleans and Baltimore, Aarón Sánchez is also the co-star of Food Network’s hit series, Chopped and Chopped Junior, and will be joining MasterChef as the third judge on Season 8.

Metro Master Class
Under the guidance of Toronto’s best chefs, take part in hands on cooking classes where you’ll learn tips and techniques to make your own world class meal. Participating Taste of Toronto chefs, as well as guest chefs, will bring a personalized recipe to this exciting activation, and after 30 minutes you’ll take home the skills to impress your friends.
Metro Master Class spots are free of charge and can be reserved at the festival on a first-come, first-served basis. There are approx. 30 spots available per class.
Taste Theatre
Get up close and personal with Toronto’s most exciting chefs. These live cooking demonstrations will give you inspiration and tips for cooking at home. Taste of Toronto is pleased to welcome Aarón Sánchez to the Taste Theatre for an evening session on Saturday June 17, 2017. Seats are limited and free of charge.
Tasting Room
With special guest Afrim Pristine of The Cheese Boutique, join us in the Tasting Room at Taste of Toronto to try some of the best wines and cheeses from around the world. Cost of entry to the Tasting Room is $5, and spots can be reserved at the festival on a first-come, first-served basis.
Toronto Life Chef’s Table
Sit down with some of Toronto’s top chefs and food experts, as they offer their views on the world of food and their personal journeys in the industry. Visitors will have the opportunity to ask questions and learn from culinary masters during an intimate Q&A session. Spaces are free of charge and can be reserved at the festival on a first-come, first-served basis.
