Niagara Grape & Wine Festival kicking off this weekend.....
F.A.D.E.D. 4 U has a few tips on how make the most out of the month-long festivities
- Get organized and plan - With so many different wineries participating and over 100 events being offered including cellar door experiences, concerts, fresh local food, street parades and more, it is hard to know where to begin. Be sure to visit the official calendar event schedule to be in the know of everything going on and mark down all the things you don’t want to miss.
- Take advantage of Discovery Passes - Whether you’ll be the designated driver or taking part in the full wine and dine experience, there is a pass for everyone at this year’s festival. Discovery Passes have eight tickets on the pass that allows for eight opportunities for a wine tasting and culinary pairing at any of the participating wineries. Other ticket options include a weekend pass to Harvest Lounge, VIP Daily passes and advanced tokens into Montebello Park—the hub of the Niagara Grape & Wine Festival.
- Enjoy the fest with an open mind - Do you tend to stick with red wine over white? Prefer a glass of Pinot Grigio instead of a Chardonnay? The Niagara Grape & Wine Festival is the perfect opportunity to give something new a try. It’s also an excellent chance to check out new wineries in the region that have yet to be discovered. One of the newest wine facilities in the area opened its doors a mere four months ago. Lakeview Wine Co. is located in the heart of the Niagara Peninsula and home to a wide selection of top-selling VQA Ontario wines for you to try and enjoy during the festival, including the flavourful On Cloud Wine in Hoagie Heaven pairing.
