The World Presentation of Haute Horlogerie (WPHH) set to
open in a few days’ time
A virtuoso of exceptional mechanisms driven by a quest
for ultimate aesthetics, Franck Muller is enriching its emblematic Vanguard
collection with two new references, one for men and another for women. These
creations – along with a number of other new launches – will be showcased at
the WPHH (World Presentation of Haute Horlogerie) to be held from January 15th to
19th at the Watchland site in Genthod.
VANGUARD™ WORLD TIMER GMT
Franck Muller is living up to its role as a true global
citizen with its new Vanguard World Timer GMT. On the dial adorned with a
raised world map motif, the reference cities for the 24 time zones enable
travellers to keep simultaneous track of the time in two different time zones,
without ever losing sight of their home time while criss-crossing the globe,
thanks to the 24-hour disc featuring a day/night indicator. Behind this
disconcerting simplicity lies the complexity of a self-winding world time
movement, crafted and decorated with Franck Muller’s characteristically modern
touch.
VANGUARD HEART SKELETON
Mid-way between Haute Horlogerie and Haute Couture, the
Vanguard Heart Skeleton reveals other feats, this time relating to the art of
skeleton-working interpreted in the feminine mode. Performing a perfectly
orchestrated mechanical symphony, the 153 movement components are enhanced by
elegant sculpted superimposed hearts forming an airy composition embodying
impressive horological aerobatics.
