Joey Bada$$ is an American, independent hip-hop Recording Artist, who hails from Brooklyn, New York. With his rugged style, an invigorating outcome of his Brooklyn neighbourhood and surroundings, Joey Bada$$ has been a staple in the hip-hop industry for maintaining an authentic, unique and versatile sound. Whereas other rappers may take less risks with formulaic projects, Joey never shies away from keeping his music raw and original.

He is a co-founder of the collective Pro Era, with whom he has released two mixtapes and toured the globe multiple times. Joey released his debut mixtape, 1999, in June 2012 to critical acclaim and recognition, followed by Rejex in September, and Summer Knights on July 1, 2013. His debut studio album, B4.da.$$, released in January 2015 through Pro Era Records / Cinematic Music Group, sold an impressive 56,000 units its opening week making it the #1 rap and #1 independent album in the country. The project henceforth received acclaim from his critics as well as his fans and is the catalyst that has placed Joey among hip-hop’s elite.

On April 7, 2017, Joey released his sophomore album “ALL-AMERIKKKAN BADA$$” featuring J. Cole, ScHoolboy Q, Styles P, and more. Opening week, the album came out strong as the #1 rap album and #2 independent album in the country. His lead single “Devastated” which he debuted at Coachella in 2016, is now certified Platinum by the RIAA.

In 2017, Joey was also featured in international Adidas, American Eagle, Calvin Klein, and Pony ad campaigns. Joey has recently been featured in Forbes, Glamour, GQ, and Billboard Magazine. He was also the cover star for Nylon Men’s fashion issue in March. Joey also made a return to the 3rd season of the Golden Globe-Winning television show Mr. Robot which airs on USA network. Joey finished out the year touring Europe and Asia. 2018 will see Joey continue to take his exciting live show on the road and the growth of Pro Era Records with multiple releases from members of the collective as well as Joey himself.
